DC police officers, Brian Sicknick’s family guests at Super Bowl LV

TAMPA, Fla. — Several police officers who responded to the U.S. Capitol attack on Jan. 6 attended Super Bowl LV as the NFL’s honored guests, according to WUSA.

The family of slain U.S. Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick was also in attendance. Sicknick died from injuries he sustained while engaging with rioters.

Three D.C. Metro police officers were at the game, including Daniel Hodges. Hodges was seen in a viral video getting crushed against a doorway by a mob. The other two were Officers Mike Fanone, who suffered a heart attack during the riot, and Lila Morris, who was injured, according to WUSA. Dozens of D.C. and Capitol police officers suffered injuries during the attack.
