Richard is a Native of NC who grew up in the Community of Saddletree where his parents still live today. After graduating High School he joined and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps after which he was honorably discharged after his tour. He returned home and attended UNCP. He moved to Raleigh and worked in the private sector for a number of years during which time he met the love of his life and over 23 years later, he still calls her "babe".
