I was born in Canada, and lived on a Native Canadian Reserve in northern British Columbia. I then lived in Mexico, went to kindergarten there and moved to the United States when I was six. Home Partners of America is a lease to purchase program. You just need a 580 credit score and an annual combined income of $40,000 to qualify. They pay cash for the home you want and you rent until ready to buy. If you purchase the home for $200,000 and a year later you are ready to buy and it is appraised at $210,000 you will have $20,000 in equity already. The other program is called homes for Texas heroes. They have two programs that offer assistance for a down payment. One is a grant that does not have to be paid back. I also work closely with a mortgage broker who is well versed in VA loans. If it is at all possible I will get it done. I believe that out of all people police and military deserve to own a safe home and have their children in good school districts. This way they can do their job and not worry about the Homefront.
